Hose Candy Rods and Rebels Event

I am  pleased to report that the first Hose Candy Rods and Rebels event was an amazing success.  We had approximately 35 people show up with somewhere between 25 and 30 cars at the beginning of the event. We had approximately 20 cars stay for the entire day and more cars showed up in the middle of the event causing us to extend the end time an additional 3 hours.  We originally thought that we would install Hose Candy on only 3 to 5 vehicles. After the initial demonstration there were approximately 16 people that wanted to install Hose Candy on their vehicles that day.  We did our best to accommodate them all.  Cal, Ben and myself were running nonstop from 9 A.M. till 4 in the afternoon.

The way we organize the event was at 9 o'clock we had a brief introduction to the Hose Candy product line, we watched some of the training videos and talked a little bit about the plan for the day.   We told the Rods & Rebels team that we were there to help them install Hose Candy and we expected them to get "a little dirty", but we would provide all the help they would need to transform the looks and performance of their engine hoses. We provided fender covers, drain pans, coolant, tools, rags and a large parking lot to work in.  We also provided sodas and water throughout the day and an excellent lunch.

We had four guys that had prearranged with us to put Hose Candy on their vehicles and then I asked "by a show of hands who else wants to install Hose Candy on their vehicles today?" and I was shocked at all the hands that went up, approximately 15 additional vehicles.  These were really amazing cars too, typical of what you would see in a trophy line up for a Goodguys car event. We had several success stories throughout the day. One guy initially stated "there is no way you're touching my engine... this engine has already won several awards", who ended up having his complete engine bay redone with Hose Candy.

We had several comments from guys and gals installing Hose Candy that this was the most fun they've ever had at a car event.  The video crew said it was easy to get great testimonials because everyone was so happy and having such a great time.  These guys loved it!   After some of our guests completed the installation on their own vehicles, they went around to help their buddies work on their cars. Some guys got real creative and found other uses for Hose Candy like their throttle linkages to match their new Hose Candy designs.

One guy who had his rod for sale said, after looking at his completed installation, “the price for this car has just gone up”.  I had people continually thanking me throughout the event, stating how "cool" Hose Candy is and what a difference it made on their vehicles.

Thanks Rods & Rebels for a great day!
