Hose Candy Hose Skins color samples - the best way to see which color looks best with your build, in person!
This pack will come with small samples of each of our available colors and materials that you can use to transform the look of your engine bay!
The Carbon Fiber/Kevlar samples will come in a weave of black and another color (black/orange, red/black, etc.), and are available in 3 sizes: 0.5", 1", and 2"
The Carbon Fiber/Kevlar hose skins expand and contract easily to fit a variety of hoses, which is why there are only 3 sizes.
The DragonSkin is available in black and silver only, and is heat resistant to 1200 degrees F. Due to this heat resistance, the hose skins are a little more rigid, and don't make extreme bends as well. as the carbon fiber/kevlar material.
The DragonSkin also does not have the same ability to expand/contract as the Carbon Fiber/Kevlar hose skins, which is why it is available in more specific sizes.
Please note when ordering, you will need to know the lengths of the hoses you want to cover, as well as the Outer Diameter of each hose.
We use the OD since the hose skins and clamps are installed on the top of the hose.

WHAT ARE HOSE SKINS?
Advanced Material Technology
-
Carbon Fiber/Kevlar
Not just for aesthetics, this blend offers unparalleled durability and resistance to wear and tear. It can withstand direct heat up to 500°F and indirect heat exposure up to 750°F, making it perfect for high-performance engine environments.
-
DragonSkin
Available in Silver and Black, this high-tech material stands out for its ability to resist extreme temperatures up to 1200°F. It's designed to protect against thermal radiation and direct heat, making it ideal for use near engine manifolds and exhaust systems.

Custom Engineered Fit
These skins adapt seamlessly to any hose shape, providing a tight, protective layer that resists kinking and cracking.
DragonSkin Skins: ensure a snug fit that maximizes thermal protection and durability in challenging environments.

Enhanced Durability
Both materials offer high-temperature resistance, protection against abrasion, and a maintenance-free finish that won't degrade or rust.

Easy Installation
Kits include Boa Clamps and Super Shrink for a secure, professional-grade installation.

FAQs
Will Hose Skins fit my car's hoses?
Here at Hose Candy, we have the skins that will fit hoses from 1/4" up to 2 1/2". Our Hose Skins will fit your hoses like a glove. Our sizes include:
- 1/2" Skins will fit hoses from 1/4" to 3/4"
- 1" Skins will fit 3/4" to 1 1/2"
- 2" Skins will fit hoses ranging from 1 1/2" up to 2 1/2"
We are currently working on other sizes. We are always looking to improve.
What is Skin-Posite Technology?
Skin-Posit Technology is a special coating that is applied to the skins so they are easier to handle. The coating makes the skins less vulnerable to fraying and virtually impossible to mess up the weave while cutting.
Can I use these kits on any type of hose?
Yes, our kits are versatile enough to be used on a wide range of hose types and sizes, suitable for both classic and modern engines.
What are the benefits of using DragonSkin over traditional materials?
DragonSkin provides superior heat resistance, does not cause wear on metal finishes, and offers a high-tech look that outperforms stainless steel sleeves.
How do the Carbon Fiber/Kevlar and DragonSkin materials compare?
Both materials offer excellent durability and heat resistance, with Carbon Fiber/Kevlar ideal for tight bends and DragonSkin excelling in extreme temperature environments.
How do I determine the correct size Hose Skin for my vehicle?
Measure the outer diameter of your hose carefully using a caliper or a flexible tape measure. Ensure that the measurement falls within the size range specified for each kit: 1.25 to 2.25 inches O.D. for Carbon Fiber/Kevlar and .755 to 1.25 O.D. for DragonSkin.
Can the Hose Skins be cut to length if they are too long for my application?
Absolutely. The Carbon Fiber/Kevlar Hose Skins can be trimmed using sharp scissors to fit your specific application. DragonSkin, while tougher to cut due to its high-temperature resin saturation, can still be sized with a sharp blade or heavy-duty scissors.
What is the installation time for a typical Hose Skin kit?
Installation generally takes about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the accessibility of the hoses and your familiarity with the process. No special tools are required beyond a heat gun for the Boa Clamps and Super Shrink.
How do these Hose Skins handle bends and curves in hoses?
Carbon Fiber/Kevlar Hose Skins are flexible and can tightly conform to bends greater than 90 degrees without kinking or weakening. DragonSkin, on the other hand, is better suited for less severe bends, as it can crease if the bend radius is too tight (greater than 60 degrees). It’s perfect for areas with moderate curves or straight runs.
Is it possible to remove the Hose Skins once installed?
Yes, both types of Hose Skins can be removed if necessary. The process involves carefully cutting the skin along the length of the hose. It is recommended to do this cautiously to avoid damaging the underlying hose.
Are these Hose Skins resistant to automotive fluids?
Yes, both Carbon Fiber/Kevlar and DragonSkin materials are highly resistant to all types of automotive fluids, including oil, coolant, and brake fluids. This makes them ideal for use in various parts of the engine where fluid exposure is common.
5 STEP INSTALLATION
Measure your hose to select the correct size skin.
Slide the Hose Skin over the hose.
Secure the ends with included Boa Clamps.
Apply Super Shrink at the ends for a tight, finished look.
Enjoy
