Hose Candy's Hot Rod Boa Clamp Kit

Imagine never having to re-tighten that ugly worm gear clamp again. Imagine the colder the temperature gets the tighter the grip becomes on what ever you want to seal. Imagine a clamp that is impervious to automotive chemicals and never rusts. Imagine no more leaks.  [Close]
The image you have just conjured  is reality with Hose Candy's new heat shrinkable thermoplastic Boa Clamps and are used by the Ringbrothers on every build. This new clamp system, shrinks to conform to any shape of hose and housing and can be used for cooling systems, air induction, air ducting, vacuum and turbo hoses and evaporative emissions.

Hose Candy's thermoplastic Boa Clamp maintains a dynamic tension so it never needs retightening. Whenever the engine reaches operating temperature, the shrink forces of the Boa Clamp readjust to a consistent clamping force. In addition, its clamping force increases as the temperature drops below 40 degrees F, thereby tightening the connection. Cold leaks, which normally occur when the temperature drops below 40 degrees F, are eliminated.

Description

Boa Clamps from Hose Candy are not just clamps; they are a leap forward in sealing technology. These clamps provide a reliable, permanent seal on cooling systems, air induction parts, vacuum and turbo hoses, and more. The innovative design expands when heated, creating a custom fit that increases its grip as temperatures fall below 40 degrees F, ensuring your connections stay tight and leak-free even in the coldest conditions.

Installation

Installing Boa Clamps is as easy as it gets:

  1. Position the Boa Clamp around the hose.
  2. Use a heat gun to evenly heat the clamp until it snugly conforms to the hose and fitting.
  3. Allow to cool — your connection is now leak-proof!

WHAT ARE BOA CLAMPS?

Dynamic Tension

Maintains consistent clamping force that adjusts with temperature changes. Perfect for everything from radiator hoses to air induction systems.

Material Excellence

Made from heat-sensitive thermoplastic that won’t rust or corrode and is resistant to automotive chemicals.

Easy Installation

Quickly install with a heat gun, even in hard-to-reach places.

FAQs

What sizes do Boa Clamps come in?

Boa Clamps are available for hoses ranging from 1/2" to 3-1/2" in diameter.

Can Boa Clamps be reused?

While Boa Clamps are primarily designed for a single use, they can be carefully removed using a Hose Candy clamp removal tool or a soldering iron.

Are Boa Clamps safe for all types of hoses?

Absolutely! Boa Clamps are safe and effective on both silicone and standard rubber hoses, even on out-of-round fittings.

What is the best procedure of shrinking the BOA CLAMPS?

The best way to apply heat is as follows:

  • Use standard heat gun with setting on HIGH.
  • Follow heat gun manufacturer's safety instructions.
  • Do not use open flame as a heat source.
  • Move heat gun around as much of the clamp's surface as possible. If you are not able to heat the whole surface of the clamp at one time, turn clamp periodically until it is impossible to turn. BE CAREFUL, clamp will be hot to the touch.
  • Continue until shrinking is complete. (The clamp will turn shiny when shrinking is complete)
  • Remove heat source and check for leaks.
  • If there are leak, simply apply more heat until sealed.
